The 60's brought us lots of great things, not just in the automotive world either. One of my favorite things from the 60's are these pickups. All three of Detroit's automakers produced them, but they all kind of faded away, even faster than the American ute, at least they made it into the 80's.
Dodge A series.
Chevrolet Corvair which has this awesome curbside ramp. The load floor is exceptionally low because of the rear mounted engine since there is no trans/driveshaft in the way.

VW made a pretty decent dropside van/truck. I drove around in one very much like this while I lived in Israel.By the way CP on the one you posted. It's got too much tinworm to be asking that price.
